How do you get the PRP?

The PRP is isolated from a sample of your own blood at our office in Mount Juliet, Franklin, or Nashville. The blood is placed in a centrifuge which spins and separates red blood cells from (and concentrates platelets into) the plasma. The plasma, now rich in platelets, is then injected using microfine needles or infused with microneedling.

Does the Vampire Hair Regrowth hurt?

Our injector will apply a topical numbing cream which makes the procedure virtually painless. There will be slight soreness once the numbing wears off.

Is there downtime required after the Vampire Hair Regrowth Treatment?

Most patients can return to work immediately, but washing hair and exercise should be avoided for 12-24 hours. There can be minimal discomfort for a few hours, and most patients will experience slight swelling, bruising, redness and possible scabbing in the areas of treatment.

How does the process work?

We start by spinning your blood down to extract the PRP while you numb the area to be treated. We then inject the PRP into the area(s) to be treated.

Pre-Treatment Guidelines

● Avoid blood thinning agents 7-14 days before your appointment

● Avoid excessive sun exposure 24 hours prior to the procedure

● Discontinue use of topical retinoids 24 hours prior to the procedure

● Avoid alcohol consumption 3 days before treatment

● Wash your hair thoroughly the day of your appointment and do not use any hair products

Post-Treatment Guidelines

● Bruising, redness, itching and swelling/soreness is normal for 3-5 days following your treatment

● No vigorous exercise, excessive sun exposure for at least 2 days after the treatment

● For the first 3 days use a shampoo that is pH balanced

● Avoid saunas, steam rooms, and swimming for at least 2 days after your treatment

● Avoid other hair restoration products (Minoxidil, Rogaine), hair coloring and straightening for 3 days
